Safeguard’s new TVC highlights the importance of Kids Play

Safeguard antibacterial soap from the stable of Procter and Gamble has unveiled its latest television commercial (TVC) tagged “Childhood Non-Stop” to encourage play in children as an opportunity for learning.

The 30 seconds TVC which highlights the importance of play in the development of a child’s cognitive as well as social skills stresses on the need for parents to allow their kids do more outdoor games, with the assurance that Safeguard has provided protection from all types of germs.

According to the soap brand, restricting play will stop children from learning, and so the focus should rather be on protecting them from germs even as they indulge in their favourite outdoor games and explore the world.

Speaking on the rationale for the TVC, Oluwaseun Balogun, Brand Manager, Safeguard, Procter and Gamble Nigeria stated that nature is good for kids especially in building their confidence, creativity and stimulating more senses.

“But, kids today spend half as much time outside as their parents did. This is a growing trend that needs to be addressed. We ran a poll on why a parent doesn’t allow their kids to play outside as much as we did back in the days and the result showed that many of them worry about their kids contracting germs. Their worries are valid, however, we also cannot stop kids from playing. What we can do is protect them from these germs and that is what Safeguard does. Protection from all sorts of germs for the kids and for the whole family,” he stated.

Furthermore, he highlighted that Safeguard antibacterial soap offers superior value, “The amazing thing about Safeguard is that it is mild on the skin and so, is suitable for the whole family. Interestingly too, Safeguard antibacterial soap controls body odour for up to 12 hours.

Safeguard comes in 175g family size, 125g medium size and 70g small size, and is available in 3 variants of Pure White, Lemon, and Aloe.
