Stanbic IBTC Wins Global Award with FUZE Talent Show as it Unveils Initiative for 2023

Stanbic IBTC Pension, a leading pension fund administrator (PFA) in Nigeria and a member of the Standard Bank Group, has won the 2023 World Pension Summit’s global Judges Choice Award for “Excellence and Innovation in Communication and Engagement 2023”. This award was courtesy of the company’s widely accepted initiative, Stanbic IBTC FUZE Talent Show whose inaugural edition took place last year.

This was made known at a media conference held in Lagos on Friday to announce the commencement of the award-winning FUZE Talent Show for 2023. The show is a hunt for talent in Nigeria, a country richly blessed with creativity but few opportunities and support. Stanbic IBTC FUZE Talent Show is an answer to the clarion call by teeming youths who are bustling with talents to compete in the Music, Dance, Fashion, Tech and Innovation categories.

Speaking at the conference, the Chief Executive of Stanbic IBTC Pension Managers, Olumide Oyetan, said “This year we are taking things a step further by infusing boot camp into the show to allow the 28finalist to horn their skills and compete for a slice of the 32 million prize money. With the assistance of our judges – Bamideku for fashion; Rikasali for music; Funmi Oluoyo for dance, and Dr Sammy Jacob for tech. We will be rewarding 12 finalists at the grand finale on the 23rd of December, 2023 at the Lifespot Entertainment Center.”

The Stanbic IBTC FUZE Talent Show is open to all Nigerians between 18 and 35 years of age. Applicants to the talent hunt only need to download the Stanbic IBTC Events App to register and upload an audition video. The show will run and thrill Nigerians for the next six weeks and finalists stand the chance of winning 32 million Naira prize money.

The show will be televised from the 11th of November 2023 and will run for six weeks. Viewers will be allowed to vote for their preferred finalist in each category with winners will be unveiled at the FUZE Festival on Saturday, December 23, 2023.

Last year’s winner in the music category, Gabriel Onyebuchi Udogu, an Afrobeat singer with stage name Rigel said the Stanbic IBTC FUZE Talent Show gave him hope when he lost hope in ever achieving his desire as a musician. He said talent was not enough as the support he received made all the difference in his career which had witnessed a lot of downsides until he won the Stanbic IBTC FUZE Talent Show.
