It had Nothing to Do with Religion or God but Superior Technology – Jordan Summers, Intelligence Analyst at U.S. Army (2007-present)
A United States Army Intelligence Analysts has given better insights into why the Israeli Army was able to defeat the coalition of four countries that fought against it in the war popularly called the six-day war. It is key to note that Israelis are not Christians but that has not stopped many Christians from trying to spin the story into a religious one even though it was a case of superior technology. A man with a gun will most likely defeat six men with knives.
According to Summers: “I am no Israeli expert but during the Six-Day War Israel had 4 things that Syria, Jordan, and Egypt did not have. First, they were surrounded, and so because of that there is a mentality that comes into play, as illustrated by a famous general (Napoleon Bonaparte) who stated that an army with nothing left to lose will fight much harder, or in less diplomatic terms will fight as if “possessed.”
He stated “Secondly, the Israelis had vastly (greatly) superior training. Israel’s military is, to this day, very professional some consider it the most professional military in the world. Quality beats quantity most of the time.”
He continued “Thirdly, the Israelis had Western technology, which at the time was only a little better than most Soviet technology. There was one weapon that stood out – the famous L7 105mm main gun on their recently upgraded Centurion Main Battle Tanks (MBT).” With this weapon, the Arabs had no chance.
He concludes “Fourthly, the Israeli Air Force was using the excellent French Mirage III. This plane enabled the destruction of most of the combined air forces – all in the first day of the conflict. Combine a deadly weapon with relentless gunner training, add air superiority and you have a three-way ass-kicking in six days.”
Over the years the war has been told with the infusion of religion to buttress the believes of many, not by the Israelis but from Christians, even though the Israelis had never and continued to state categorically that they are not Christians but Jewish this has not discouraged the God-factor theorists who insist they won because they are Christians.
